Incredible Cheating Scandal Under Investigating |
The investigation into the Absolute Poker (AP) cheating scandal is ongoing; and though AP is keeping the public updated with all of the latest information from the investigation, the case is, to-date, the largest internet poker gambling cheats in the history of online casino gambling. Internet gamblers are still leery about the extent of the cheating operation, and how long the report claims that the breach lasted before AP was able to identify and secure the breach. The report goes into great detail about how the AP employee was able to breach and then exploit the system. But AP’s forthright attitude is not quelling all concerns of previous AP online casino poker players.
Absolute Poker is wholly owned by Tokwiro Enterprises, a company registered in Kahnawake. Tokwiro is overseeing the investigation into the cheating scandal at AP, and issued the most recent report with new facts and data about the case. The Tokwiro report contends that though the cheating of AP online casino players was extensive, the company has more than adequately reimbursed players – paying out roughly $1.6 million although the cheat took home $800,000. Additionally, as the investigation continues and as Gaming Associates continues to review each hand played, the company will then continue to reimburse any online casinos poker players who were slighted because of the cheating scandal.
And for the online casino poker players who are still worried that the breach that was exploited lies open for other players, the report acknowledges those concerns, but emphasizes that "the breach was exploitable only by an authorised AP person that manipulated the internal reporting software, together with the AP gaming software. “The report continues, "the security breach was not, therefore, the result of an external action, and no individual outside AP could exploit the breach." |
