Poker in Florida Turns Deadly
Three longtime friends were found dead on Saturday morning in Florida, the result of a high stakes poker game that went bad. The men were involved in the poker game on Friday night.

Jerome Anthony Henry, Richard David Smith, and Robert Erwin Ford, were all found dead on Saturday morning at the site of a former bar on Carver Street.

The former Paradise Inn was the site of a poker game that was taking place on Friday night. The three friends had known each other for a long time. The person accused of killing the men was Duane Demaris Crittenden II. He was one of a number of people who were invited to the game to gamble.

Crittenden lost all of his money late Friday night. "He was part of the poker game earlier that night and apparently lost all of his money. He decided to get it back," said chief of detectives, Major Keith Riddick.

Crittenden, according to police, killed the men, then went home to his wife. By the time he left for Ocala, the police were already following leads as to where he was heading. They caught up to him at the 2200 block of South Pine Avenue.

Crittenden is still being held at a jail in Marion County. He does have a history of run ins with the laws, but nothing of the violent type until now. Police claim that he went through the victims pockets after killing them, revealing he was out to get his money back.
