Stan James, buys troubled brand Betdirect from 32Red |
"Bet Direct is a well established bookmaking brand and its acquisition is very exciting for everybody associated with Stan James and Bet Direct," Peter Fisher, CEO of Stan James. This must be a challenging move for the brand though as it has changed hands twice in a little over one year.
The deal should now be completing as it had a deadline of the 10th December.StanJames aims to offer Bet Direct customers good customer service more markets to bet on.
Ed Ware, CEO of 32Red, claims to be excited about the sale; BetDirect had become somewhat of a burden to the company and its sale will allow to company to focus more on its casino arm. It seems amazing for a company to be happy at suffering a massive write down on the value of one of their assets in just 3 months.
Ware said selling the company allowed them to carry on offering betting on fixed odds events without the burden of having to run the site. It seems Stan James will be earning money on the 32 Red punters looking for a cheeky punt on sports events so it could be a good match.
