In my opinion you can't find a game more fun than roulette; it's sexy, fast, has great winning options and it's all about chance. Some people don't like that it's all about chance, they want to be able to calculate, bluff, and outwit; I'm not like that, I want to go to the casino, have a laugh, follow my gut, and not think too much. However, I also don't want to loose too much; no matter how fun the game is, going broke is never such a giggle, so I follow a few simple guide lines in order to keep me happy, and most importantly, keep me spinning.
Firstly the dos…
I draw/deposit the amount of money I'm prepared to play with, and loose at the beginning of the night and that's all I have. In my mind for that night, I have that amount of money only; my ATM card, credit card, check book, pay check, car keys etc simply do not exist, once I'm out, I'm out; this is especially important for internet roulette!
I love winning; the best end to the night is having played a lot, drunk a little and come out with a couple of dollars still in my pocket. It's my staunch policy, that if I win and I've already been there a while, I leave. If I win at the beginning of the night, I put 30% of my win away and that's not for playing with; it means that at the end of the night I nearly always have a little something to be extra happy about.
I follow my gut….and yes sometimes I'll ask the cute girl next to me to place a bet for me, but never for too much money - keep it cute, keep it simple.
Especially for online casinos, and this one is a must, I always check that the casino is licensed, regulated, audited and reputable.
I tend to only bet 10% of my whole bankroll on one bet, and normally I bet less than this. This means that even without any wins, and even if I make my 'max' bet every spin, I'm in for at least 10 spins.
This is what I don't do…
I don't ever take more into the casino than I'm prepared to loose.
I never expect to make next months rent at the casino.
I don't tolerate loud mouths or anyone with attitude; if there's a stressed out guy at my table he's going to stress me out - bad karma, time to leave!
I never ever put all my money on one spin no matter how good a feeling I've got about it.
I never following betting strategies - way too calculated, and not nearly enough fun.
I never go home, or log off in a bad mood.
That's it, those are my basic rules for keeping roulette fun; trust me, follow them and you will begin to have the best nights ever! Enjoy. |
