Many people will say it’s difficult to make money betting horses. But as you are about to see, this is a false assumption. The free thoroughbred horse racing method you’re about to see is incredibly easy for you to use. But it will be profitable for anyone who has the discipline to carry out the system’s three simple rules.
I will teach you the rules, and then I will show why the method works and review its strengths and weaknesses.
The Rules
1. The race must be a claiming race with the exception that it can not be a maiden claiming race. The way to tell if the race is a claiming race is by looking at the race conditions in either the past performances or the track program.
2. Calculate each horse’s LEPS, lifetime earnings per start. You do this by dividing each horse’s lifetime earnings by its lifetime starts. You can find the horse’s lifetime starts and earnings in the upper right-hand corner of its listing in the past performances.
3. Place a win bet on the horse that has the largest earning per start over its lifetime if his closing odds are greater than or equal to 8-to-1.
The Reasons Why this Horse Handicapping Method is Profitable
Because all horses are not the same and they have different levels of ability. That is why there are different levels of class in thoroughbred horseracing. If a horse is in good condition, he will be an easy winner if he is entered in a race at a lower class level.
When a horse meets the requirements of these three rules, he will certainly have been successful in higher class levels in the past. The horses selected by this angle as a rule can’t win at their previous class level because they have suffered injuries. So they are used by the racing insiders as “betting tools.” The trainers keep racing these horses because they are looking to use them to make money cashing large bets. The trainer knows that if the horse can return to its former form even for only a single race, it can be an easy winner against the lower class field it will face in today’s race. So because of manipulation by the trainer, the horses selected by this system do win and will win suddenly without showing any signs of improvement. Also because of this manipulation by the trainer, these horses will pay very high odds.
The System’s Strong Points and Weaknesses
This angle is very profitable over an extended period of time and will usually return a profit of twenty to thirty percent for each dollar you wager. The biggest drawback of the method is the percentage of wins that will run from 10% to 14%. This means if you start using this method you should expect large streaks of consecutive losers.
The number or size of losing streaks for any system is governed by its percentage of wins. If for example, let’s say you were to win 14% of the time, which is realistic but a somewhat optimistic assumption for this system. You should expect one losing streak of 34 consecutive losers in every series of 1000 bets. Based on the assumption of a win percentage of 14%, we should also expect see 27 losing streaks of 10 or more in a row for each 1000 horses wagered. This would mean you would be in a losing streak of 10 or more consecutive losers about 37% of the time while you are playing the method.
The winning percentage is one of the most important factors to consider when evaluating any handicapping system. If you are looking for a handicapping system with a higher winning percentage than this method, take a look at “The Indicator Handicapping Method” which is the featured handicapping method at my website, turfanalyst.com.
